Parole hearing scheduled for man convicted in 1990 of choking 15-year old girlfriend to death in Bristol
A man convicted in 1990 of choking his girlfriend to death outside of the Skate Inn in Bristol is scheduled for a parole hearing next week.
Jack Shuttle was found guilty of first degree murder nearly 30 years ago and sentenced to life in prison for the December 29th, 1989 killing of his 15-year old girlfriend. Court documents say the girlfriend, Brandi Sims, was looking to terminate her relationship with 20-year old Shuttle, and on the night of the incident, the two got into an argument that turned into a physical altercation, resulting in Shuttle choking her to death. Shuttle was previously denied parole in 2014, a Department of Corrections Spokesperson said.
A parole board is slated to make a recommendation at next Thursday’s hearing.
