Church safety training now being offered by Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department

Unicoi County churches interested in forming a safety team can do so.

This is in part to training being offered by the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department, and according to a social media post made by Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley, deputies have been authorized they can wear uniforms and drive patrol vehicles to church.

If your church is interested, contact the department at 423-743-1864 and schedule an appointment, which are being offered Monday-Friday.
