Three arrested in Kingsport after year-long investigation into drug trafficking

Three people have been arrested following a year long investigation into illegal drug trafficking in Kingsport.

The Kingsport Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit began this investigation in late 2018 into one suspect by the name of Tyrone Lamas Hitchcock, or “Sticks”, who was wanted out of Michigan by the Department of Corrections for Absconding While on Parole (absconding-leave hurriedly and secretly, typically to avoid detection of or arrest for an unlawful action such as theft.). Hitchcock’s girlfriend Rachel Bradley, and female suspect Ashley Hagood were added as conspirators later on.

The findings of the investigation led to indictments being handed by a Sullivan County grand jury, and all three were arrested on the indictments in December. Additionally, search warrants led authorities to finding over four pounds of heroin valued over $500,000, over 500 pills, $25,000 in cash believed to have been profits from illegal drug transactions, and several firearms.

Hitchcock and Hagood are being held without bond in the Sullivan County Jail, while Bradley is being held on a $75,000 bond.

Below are each suspect’s charges:

Tyrone Lamas Hitchcock: Four counts of Sale and Delivery of Heroin, Criminal Conspiracy to Possess Heroin for Sale and Delivery, and also Wanted by Michigan Department of Corrections for Absconding While on Parole.

Rachel J Bradley: Four counts of Sale and Delivery of Heroin, Criminal Conspiracy to Possess Heroin for Sale and Delivery.

Ashley L Hagood: Ten counts of Sale and Delivery of Heroin, Criminal Conspiracy to Possess Heroin for Sale and Delivery, Sale and Delivery of Gabapentin, Sale and Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a School, Maintaining a Dwelling where Controlled Substances are Used or Sold.
