Virginia Issues One Million REAL ID’s

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has reached a milestone with the issuance of more than one million REAL ID compliant driver’s licenses and identification cards. Beginning October first, Virginian’s who want to use their state issued driver’s license or identification card to board a domestic flight will have to present a REAL ID compliant credential. DMV officials are urging Virginian’s who want the REAL ID to not wait to the last minute as a rush of customers is expected as the October first deadline quickly approaches.
