Bristol, TN City Council approves prohibiting dog tethering during certain times unless otherwise permitted
An amended ordinance now makes dog tethering in Bristol, TN prohibited between 10 p.m and 6 a.m beginning August 1st unless residents gain a permit.
Last week, the Bristol, TN City Council voted 4-1 on second reading to approve the ordinance. One exception to the rule includes a permit that can be obtained to follow a different 8 hour period of prohibited tethering for residents who work during the prohibited hours, and the other exception includes owners who own dogs for hunting and sporting purposes.
