New Speaker Of The House In Tennessee To Open General Assembly Tuesday

The 2020 Tennessee General Assembly reconvenes tomorrow in Nashville, with a new Speaker of the House leading the way. Speaker Cameron Sexton is taking aim during this session on several issues including Health Insurance companies for their absolute control over the marketplace. Sexton is also calling for stronger truth in sentencing laws, better funding for early childhood reading programs and a long term approach to spending Temporary Assistance for Needy Families reserves.
