ETSU receives $5 million grant for providing nurse home services for first-time mothers living in poverty
East Tennessee State University is receiving a $5 million grant over the next four years for nurse home visiting services for first-time mothers living in poverty across Northeast Tennessee counties.
The grant, awarded by the Tennessee Department of Human Services, is providing funds to help serve the University’s Nurse Family Partnership Program who provides services to mothers in Johnson, Carter, Unicoi, Washington, Sullivan, Hawkins, Cocke, Hancock, and Greene counties.
The program is free for low-income, pregnant, and first time moms in the listed counties.
