Abingdon Virginia Man Dies In Washington County, Two Vehicle Crash

An Abingdon Virginia man is dead after a two vehicle crash in Washington County Virginia that occurred Wednesday night. Virginia State Police tell us 60 year old Omer H. Kolling was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra northbound in the 21 thousand block of Green Spring Road and Route 75 when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a F-150 driven by 45 year old Cecil B. Tipton of Haysi, Virginia. Tipton was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non life threatening injuries. VSP says Kolling was not wearing a seatbelt and the investigation is ongoing.
