University of Tennessee suspends China overseas study program due to outbreak
The University of Tennessee has suspended its study abroad program to China in response to the country’s recent outbreak of the Coronavirus.
The school announced that the move was made out of precaution and will evaluate the situation before another planned trip to China is made in May. A statement said 21 students were scheduled to go overseas this semester and other arrangements will be made to complete their courses.
One UT student that had already made the trip to China has returned to the US.
