Dickenson County emergency officials declare local emergency
Emergency management officials in Dickenson County, Virginia have declared a local emergency due to multiple roadways being flooded and the potential of residents being isolated because of the rising water.
A statement from Senator Todd Pillion said he is monitoring the situation and is keeping in contact with Governor Northam’s office as well as the Department of Emergency Management in case state resources need to be deployed. Pillion is also instructing citizens to adhere to any instructions from law enforcement or rescue personnel if conditions warrant.
