UPDATE: TBI releases name of toddler in Greeneville death investigation

The name of the child found dead in Greeneville on Sunday has been released by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Police officers arrived at a home on Culbertson Road and found 20-month-old Xavier Roberts unresponsive, according to information from the Greeneville Police Department and TBI spokesperson Leslie Earhart. Xavier was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Earhart noted that the circumstances leading up to the child’s death are still part of an open investigation being conducted by their agency and the Department of Children’s Services.
