Tennessee Launches New Apprenticeship Initiative

Tennessee is launching a major initiative to increase the number of skilled employees available within the state’s workforce through a new program aimed at apprenticeships. An apprenticeship is a proven training program used as a talent development strategy for recruiting, training and retaining world class talent. During the program, apprentices have supervised on the job training, along with job related education, all while earning a wage that increases during the progression of the program. ApprenticeshipTN is powered by the Tennessee Workforce Development System steering team. To promote the new program, the state has developed a new website at ApprenticeshipTN.com.
