Man Pleads Guilty To Drug And Weapon Charges…Receives Ten Years In Prison
A Johnson City man has been sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to various charges including drugs and weapon offenses. 20 year old Gavin Colin Muse of 714 Barton Street was arrested in May of 2019 after police received a call in regards to a man in a car pointing a gun at an individual. Muse fled from officers at a high rate of speed and tossed items from the moving vehicle. Muse was finally blocked in by police. Officers found a gun and four ounces of cocaine that had been thrown from the vehicle. Muse is charged with possession of cocaine, aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, animal cruelty and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Muse will be eligible for parole after serving thirty percent of the final seven years
