Support And Education Available For Local Teen Moms

Becoming a parent as a teenager is a life altering experience for teens and the family. Now a local agency is offering free support and education classes to teen parents who are 19 years and younger and pregnant for the first time. The YWCA of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia is currently accepting referrals for the MOMS-R-Us teen pregnancy and parenting program. Ongoing support and parenting classes are being offered to give young moms and dads essential knowledge and skills to help them adapt to their new roles.
