Eastman Chemical just staffing essential personnel at China properties due to Coronavirus

Eastman Chemical Company is reducing staff numbers at its facilities in China while letting some employees work from home as the Coronavirus continues its spread in the country.

The Kingsport-based company has also restricted travel among its workers into China while their other production facilities in Asia Pacific remain on an extended holiday.

A statement from the company also said they continue to assess the situation in Wuhan—the city where the Coronavirus was first discovered before the near-pandemic.
