UVA College At Wise Receives Grant For Computer Science Education

Governor Ralph Northam is announcing more than one point three million dollars in grants to support Virginia’s Computer Science Standards of Learning and a southwest Virginia college is getting a portion of the money. The University of Virginia’s College at Wise now has 125 thousand dollars to support a collaborative effort between Region 7 school divisions and education agencies offering professional development in computer science, including workshops, conferences, and course work for teachers in the region.
