Johnson City Police Arrest Elizabethton Man…Charged With Aggravated Assault Following Stabbing

An Elizabethton man is jailed after Johnson City Police arrest and charge him with aggravated assault, involving a stabbing. Officers were called to the Johnson City Medical Center for a patient being treated for stab wounds. Following a brief investigation,Johnson City Police arrested 53 year old Eric Saults. The victim told police he and his girlfriend were visiting at 1814 E Fairview Avenue when someone knocked on the door. The victim said he opened the door and was immediately stabbed in the back of the neck and left arm. The victims wounds were not life threatening. Saults is being held at the Washington County Tennessee Detention Center and is to be arraigned Tuesday.
