UT Board Of Trustees Want Interim President Randy Boyd As Permanent President
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees chairman wants to make interim UT President Randy Boyd the school’s permanent president. Boyd, who unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Tennessee was appointed to serve a two year term when he replaced retiring President Joe Depietro in 2018. During a recent meeting, Chairman John Compton said he wanted to hear from students, faculty and staff on the issue. Compton also asked Boyd to visit each campus and to make his case. The board is expected to consider the case following those camps meetings.
