Local Health District To Work Directly With Health Agencies Across The Country To Reduce Opioid Abuse
A Southwest Virginia health district has been named as a mentor in an effort to reduce opioid misuse and abuse. The Mount Rogers Health District will be working with agencies across the Commonwealth and the country to address the addiction crisis, and to share their knowledge through its strong community partnerships in southwest Virginia. Mount Rogers received the recognition from the National Association of County and City Health Officials and will provide guidance to health departments in Virginia, New York and Michigan.
