Document: Mom’s initial statement to police was Evelyn was with her father
A criminal complaint obtained by SuperTalk 929 says the mom of missing toddler Evelyn Boswell initially told investigators that the baby was with her father.
Megan Boswell, 19, was arraigned Wednesday morning on a charge of false reporting in Bristol Sessions Court. The mother said she was supposed to exchange custody of Evelyn in the parking lot of Ingles in Kingsport on Feb. 19. Ethan Perry is currently stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana and did not have possession of the child, leading to the activation of an AMBER Alert.
The search for Evelyn continues while Megan Boswell has a preliminary hearing on March 2.
