Telehealth To Help Improve Substance Use Disorder Treatments
A long awaited plan to improve patient access to substance use disorder treatment via telehealth has been approved by the Drug Enforcement Agency for areas in rural and underserved locations in the region. The announcement was made by Senator Mark Warner of Virginia. The DEA has announced a proposed rule that will ensure health care providers can effectively use telehealth to diagnose and treat patients suffering from substance use disorders.
