TVA, Local Emergency Team To Hold Emergency Exercises At Two Dams

The Tennessee Valley Authority along with a local volunteer fire department will be conducting important emergency exercises at Watauga and Wilbur Dams. The TVA alongside the Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting emergency exercises and the public may see or hear unusual activity near the dams, including the presense of emergency response vehicles. The event is another in a series of routine emergency exercises involving outside emergency response agencies that helps ensure those involved can work together safely and effectively if a real event occurs.
