IT firm 1901 Group to invest $1M in Washington County, Virginia, provide 150 new jobs
Southwest Virginia’s pursuit of high-tech jobs has culminated with an investment of more than $1 million and the promise of 150 new jobs following an announcement by IT firm 1901 Group on Monday in Abingdon.
1901 CEO Sonu Singh said their company offers many services like data storage and security to several high-end clients including government agencies like the US Department of Justice and is confident the talent pool in far Southwest can meet their needs.
The company has been in business for 10 years and Singh says the Abingdon facility will provide a job that promises low turnover and quality wages. 1901 Group will begin its operations within the Washington County Small Business Incubator.
This will be 1901’s third facility in Virginia.
