Unemployment In Tennessee Remains Unchanged For Third Consecutive Month
Tennessee’s statewide unemployment rate held steady for the third consecutive month. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s latest figures shows unemployment was three point three percent in January, the third straight month the rate has remained the same. The figure also represents a one tenth percent drop from the previous rate in January of 2019. The Volunteer State added six thousand five hundred new jobs across the state between December and January, mainly in education and health services sector.
