Abingdon man sentenced to 205 years in prison following conviction on 31 counts of child porn possession

A Washington County, VA judge has sentenced a man to 205 years in prison following his previous conviction on 31 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to Washington County, VA Commonwealth’s Attorney Josh Cumbow, David Anderson received the sentence Thursday morning after a jury found him guilty on the charges last November. The jury recommended a 245 year sentence.

Court records show Anderson is still awaiting trial for separate charges of forcible sodomy and aggravated sexual battery stemming from an August 2018 case involving an 11 year old juvenile male.
