Barter Theatre exploring plans to stream performances online following COVID-19 ban on crowds
Barter Theatre in Abingdon has announced they are postponing the opening of several productions that were scheduled for later this month and in April due to Governor Ralph Northam’s ban on large gatherings.
The facility also said the move was being done to protect Barter’s performers, staff and volunteers.
The report also said that they are currently filming a performance of “Peter Pan” for the possibility of streaming it online in the coming weeks. Barter officials said that their ticket exchange program is still in effect so that patrons can exchange tickets already purchased for future performances.
The theatre announced they will soon announce plans on how guests can exchange tickets for in-home streaming of shows.
