Volunteers Needed For Bristol Virginia School’s Read Aloud Program

Educational research shows one of the most important and beneficial activities individuals can do with children is to read aloud to them. The extended school closure has made that activity difficult to accomplish. But now the Bristol Virginia City School System is asking for volunteers who would be interested in providing a video recording while reading a book which students can watch online. If you are interested in reading a book for the school system you may call (276) 821-5612. The videos will be posted beginning Friday and can be seen on the School System’s website 24 hours a day seven days a week.
