Tennessee Governor Lee Calls In National Guard To Help With COVID-19 Testing
As more COVID-19 testing kits become available, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is mobilizing the National Guard to assist with those efforts. 250 personnel, including 150 medical workers, are preparing to assist 35 remote assessment facilities in rural areas throughout the Volunteer State. The Governor says none of the personnel was removed from any health care related private sector jobs and also thanked health care facilities for allowing the National Guard to help handle the spread of the virus and employers who allowed guard members to take leaves of absence.
