Governor Lee Hoping There Are No Elective Abortions During COVID-19 Crisis After Executive Order
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee says his hope and expectation is that there will be no elective abortions performed in the state after his executive order prohibiting non essential medical procedures in the Volunteer state. The Governor issued the order in an effort to free up medical equipment for hospitals treating patients with Coronavius. The order halts non emergency dental work and non essential hospital and surgical outpatient procedures…but did not mention elective abortions, which Governor Lee believes are non essential procedures.
