Universal Companies in Abingdon, VA has announced it is laying off 61 employees due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Virginia Employment Commission, the company issued a WARN Notice Wednesday, and has an impact date of April 1st. This makes the second company in the state to lay off employees due to COVID-19.
