UPDATE: Carter County Schools ending meals at 10 locations, switching to Monday and Wednesday distribution next month

Carter County Schools have announced they will discontinue meal service for students at 10 locations as a precaution to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The report issued by the system said meals will still be available at five locations, including Cloudland Elementary, Hampton High School, Hunter Elementary, Happy Valley Elementary, and Little Milligan.

Beginning April 6, the schools will only have meals prepared on Mondays and Wednesdays of each week. On Mondays, students will be given two servings of breakfast and lunch while three portions of those meals will be distributed on Wednesday.
