UVA Wise Freshman Selected To Participate In National Science Foundation Program
A southwest Virginia Freshman at the University of Virginia at Wise is one of ten out of three hundred applicants chosen to participate in a National Science Foundation Research program. Freshman, Megan Roark of Chilhowie, Virginia earned the spot during her first year as a national science foundation STEM scholar. Roark, will represent UVA Wise in collaboration with the University of Virginia as they work on research projects that will strengthen the connection between the two institutions and provide Roark with skills she will use as she continues her education.
