Kingsport’s YMCA Converting To Community Response Center During COVID-19 Crisis

As communities continue to come together in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Kingsport YMCA is now providing emergency services to the Kingsport community including converting the Kingsport facility into a Community Response Center. The facility is being adapted to handle modified child care for first responders, government officials, health care professionals, mission critical workers and to parents who need to work to support their families. Staff and volunteers are filling in the gaps as drivers for Meals on Wheels as well as distributing care packages with essential items to seniors in the community who don’t have resources available to get the items on their own.
