Virginia Extends Certification Period For Core Assistance Programs

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the State of Virginia is extending certification periods for its core human service programs including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Need Families and Child Care Subsidy programs. If a certification period ends between March and May of this year, those services will be automatically extended for six months. All participants impacted by this change will be notified by mail regarding the date of their extended certification date.
