NE Tennessee’s first COVID-19 death reported in Greene County

Statistics released Wednesday afternoon by the Tennessee Department of Health shows Northeast Tennessee’s first coronavirus death in Greene County.

Ballad Health CEO Alan Levine said the patient who died was a man in his 70s who had underlying factors along with the virus.

All total, health department data shows 60 patients are being treated for COVID-19 in Northeast Tennessee.
