Community Support Sought By United Way Of Greater Kingsport During COVID19 Crisis
In a response to the COVID-19 crisis, the United Way of Greater Kingsport is continuing to ease access to community resources for families, to ensure the areas most vulnerable populations are cared for during the upheaval of the COVID-19 outbreak. The agency is partnering with food banks and schools to provide basic nutrition to those in need. In a news release officials from the UWGK have set up a COVID-19 fund to help struggling families in the community. Officials are also asking concerned citizens to contact 211 for the latest, reliable information on social services and other resources for those in need. Other suggestions from the UWGK include donating to local food pantries, calling your familiy and friends and taking care of your mental health during this crisis.
