NEW: First cases of COVID-19 in Scott County, Virginia confirmed

There is only one county in far Southwest Virginia where COVID-19 has not been reported after officials with the Lenowisco Health District confirmed the first case of the virus in Scott County.

A report from district director Dr. Sue Cantrell said a male and female were diagnosed and an investigation is underway to gauge potential spread.

Dickenson County remains COVID-19 free at the moment, according to updated information released by the Virginia Department of Health on Tuesday.
