Tennessee begins distributing federal pandemic compensation payment and state unemployment benefits
The state of Tennessee says they have distributed the first $600 federal pandemic compensation payment and state unemployment benefits to claimants.
On Tuesday, the department of labor and workforce development distributed approximately $94 million to financial institutions for nearly 110,000 unemployment residents.
Most will receive payments through direct deposit today. The department projects the number of payments to increase to 150,000 throughout the week.
