Two men are facing charges in Johnson City after allegedly breaking into a business over the weekend.
According to Johnson City Police, they were called to Ross’s Sunday morning just before 5:00 a.m, where they found Bobby Thompson, 52, and Benjamin Hyatt, 37, inside, before capturing them at the back of the building. An investigation found both men entered Ross through an adjoining building, and used tools to bust through a wall to gain access to Ross’s, where police say they took thousands of dollars of items before being arrested.
The duo are charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Theft over $2500, while Hyatt faces additional charges including 16 counts of criminal simulation when he was found to be in possession of counterfeit currency in his wallet.
