TDOT Urging Motorists To Slow Down And Mover Over
25 people died in Tennessee work zone crashes last year, including workers, drivers and passengers. And now the Tennessee Department of Transportation is asking the public to work with us and move over and slow down for highway workers. While traffic flow has decreased during the COVID-19 crisis, hundreds of TDOT employees are still working on Tennessee highways each day. April 20-24 is National Work Zone Awareness Week as TDOT spreads the news statewide in an effort to improve safety in Tennessee’s interstate and highway construction maintenance work zones.
