Nearly Two Million Dollars In Federal Money Headed To Rural Virginia Hospitals
More federal funding is on its way to help assist the Virginia Department of Health’s efforts to support rural hospitals across the Commonwealth as they combat the COVID-19 crisis. More than one point eight million dollars will assist hospitals funded through the Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program. The program helps states support rural hospitals with 49 beds or fewer. The money allows those hospitals to become or join accountable care organizations and to purchase health information technology and training with quality improvement activities.
