Kingsport Leaders Tell Citizens Normal Will Not Be Normal With Phased-in Reopening

As our cities and counties move forward this week with a phased in reopening of some businesses, leaders from the city of Kingsport are telling citizens, with that in mind, that Kingsport and other cities are not returning to normal. In a Press Release local leaders say the new normal will look much different and are urging citizens to continue best practices, like social distancing and limiting gatherings to ten or less people. Kingsport will be following the Sullivan County Regional Health Department’s Public Health Order number 2 and will issue an amendment this week to the current city declaration to put the order in place.
