Southwest Virginia Congressman Calling For Help For Small Businesses

Southwest Virginia, Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith is applauding the recently approved Paycheck Protection Program which has allowed many small businesses in the region to stay afloat during the COVID-19 Pandemic. But Griffith says the situation for those dealing with the Economic Injury Disaster Loans program is much different. Congressman Griffith recently testified before the House Small Business Committee.Griffith says one of the local restaurants in his district has lines in the drive thru and even though it looks busy the business is off by 55 percent. Griffith is asking the committee to investigate the Small Business Administrations delay with the program.
