2020 Virginia Highlands Festival in Abingdon cancelled
Organizers of the Virginia Highlands Festival in Abingdon have announced the event is canceled for 2020.
A statement issued by the group says the uncertainty of the future due to the coronavirus forced them to shut down planning the festival which has been held for 72 consecutive years.
Refunds and reservations for next year will be issued in the coming days. The group said they are aware of the impact the decision will have on the local economy and community.
