UPDATE: Revamped NASCAR schedule has cars on the track at Bristol May 30-31
NASCAR announced the addition of more races to their revamped 2020 schedule including new dates for racing at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Thursday’s report said the Xfinity Series will have a 160-mile event on Saturday, May 30 and the NASCAR Cup Series will go racing on Sunday, May 31 with teams participating in a 266-mile race.
A proposed schedule sent to teams last month had Bristol hosting races in June.
The return to competition also includes Atlanta, Martinsville, Miami, and Talladega. An initial slate of races will begin Sunday in Darlington and then moves to Charlotte for four consecutive races beginning May 24. No fans will be allowed to attend those events, the report said.
