Man Arrested After Using Hatchet To Assault Victim

Johnson City Police have arrested a man after he allegedly used a hatchet to attack his victim. 50 year old Eric Lynn Carter of 364 Cedar Grove Road is charged with aggravated assault following an investigation into an assault in which Carter used a hatchet to cause multiple injuries, non which were life threatening. The victim apparently knew his attacker and identified him to police who later arrested Carter at his residence. Carter was being held on a 50 thousand dollar bond with an arraignment scheduled in Washington County General Sessions Court.
