Johnson City Police Busy Arresting Auto Theft Suspects

Johnson City Police investigations have led to the arrest of three individuals, involving three separate auto thefts in the city. 44 year old Cecilia Heatherly of 441 Cedar Grove Road is charged with theft of an automobile from the Heritage Mobile Home Park, Heatherly sold the vehicle to a local wrecker who in turn scrapped the stolen vehicle at a local metal recycler. 34 year old Jerry Leary of 2477 Lakewood Drive is charged with auto theft after allegedly stealing a vehicle in the Tree Street area. Evidence found in the stolen vehicle linked Leary to the crime. And 42 year old Armex Brown of Nashville, is jailed after officers discovered a stolen vehicle at the Econo Lodge. Brown gave investigators false information when questioned about the vehicle. All three were transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
