Camping permitted this weekend at State Parks across Virginia
Campgrounds at state parks in Virginia have now opened for overnight camping as part of Memorial Day weekend.
Park officials say anyone planning to a visit a state park this weekend should be aware to changes in normal park operations. While things such as restrooms, boat and bike rentals, and the chair lift at Natural Tunnel State Park will be open, amenities including picnic shelters, playgrounds, swimming beaches, and visitor centers will remain closed for the time being.
Officials recommend guests visit parks close to home and continue to stress social distancing guidelines.
