Johnson City Adding Extra Enforcement…Looking For Impaired Or Distracted Drivers This Memorial Day Weekend

With the Memorial Day Weekend upon us, the Johnson City Police Department will be adding extra officers to Johnson City Streets saturating the roads looking for impaired or distracted drivers and drivers not wearing seat belts. The 100 Days of Summer runs from this weekend to Labor Day and statistics show an increase in traffic accidents especially with teen drivers. The JCPD’s DUI enforcement efforts have resulted in 23 DUI arrests over the last five Memorial Day Holiday weekends.
