Kayaker rescued by Hawkins County Rescue Squad on Sunday

The Hawkins County Rescue Squad helped rescue a kayaker that fell into the water at the Holston River in Surgoinsville on Sunday afternoon.

A Facebook post from the agency says they were called to assist Church Hill Rescue Squad, and reported assisting an individual in the water along with getting others kayakers to shore.

The individual in the water was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. No further information was released.
